On Sunday afternoon, Alex rang me. His voice clearly revealed he was tired, but there was a certain joy that concealed any sorrow. “The papers have been signed and the customs have cleared ports”, he said. The relief and purpose that came with the tone did not escape me, I knew what this feeling was about – for both our company and our client.
I telephoned the client with this good news and great progress, after a strange pause the client said, “Ingrid, you have surpassed our expectations. Thank you.” That moment was a chance to recollect why we exist as a company.
Achieving Objectives and Earning Respect
Having the formalities out of the way, we pushed the shipment through a recognized carrier. We provided updates to the client regarding the progress to reassure them regarding the whereabouts of their shipment.
The fact that everything has arrived at exactly the right time and in undamaged condition in Dayton Ohio delighted the client.
